At its 50th Annual General Meeting in September 2024, LOBA decided to change its name from Loyola Old Boys’ Association to Loyola Old Batches’ Association, while retaining the acronym LOBA. The decision reflects the association’s commitment to inclusivity, particularly following Loyola School’s transition to co-education for Classes 11 and 12 in 2023.

The change marks an important step in LOBA’s journey, ensuring that its growing alumni community welcomes Loyolites of both genders and remains united across generations, while preserving the shared memories, values and traditions that connect all Loyolites.
